Christopher J McCafferty

Chris is a Seattle are singer, actor and writer.   Chris has performed locally with such groups as Seattle Opera, The Tudor Choir, Seattle Pro Musica, The Seattle First Baptist Sanctuary Choir, PLU's Choral Union, the Northwest Chamber Chorus, the Seattle Choral Company, the Seattle Symphony, and Choral Arts.

He has appeared as a soloist before the American Guild of Organists National and local conventions, the World Harp Congress in Geneva, Switzerland, the Albiate Music Festival in Albiate, Italy, and the Seattle Composers Seminar.  And performed in some of the world's greatest performance spaces including Nidaros Catherdal in Trondheim, Norway and Stephansdom in Vienna, Austria.

Chris premiered the tenor solo in Alice Parker's (of Parker/Shaw fame) An American Kedusha in 2000, made the European premier of the tenor solo in Richard Nance's Mass for a New Millenium in 2002, and conducted the world premier of Edwin Wendler's Winter Medley in 2009.

As a professional chorister Chris has appeared at the Marktoberdorf International Chamber Choir Competition, ACDA local and national conventions, on the Seattle Symphony Pops with Marvin Hamlisch, and with such traveling tours as Video Games Live, and Star Wars in Concert - the official Star Wars Tour.

He is currently employed as the Resident Tenor Soloist and Vocal Coach for the Seattle Choral Company under the direction of Freddie Coleman, and is the founder and Artistic Director of the Illumni Men's Chorale.

As an actor Chris has worked on 12 films ranging from roles in local Indies the likes of Extremely Used Cars and The Right to Bear Arms, to extras parts on big budget studio films like Love Happens and Twilight, to a featured extra part (the bouncer) in Craig Johnson's award winning Indie, True Adolescents.  Chris has also worked as a crew member on 3 different films, taking digital production stills and providing office support.

In his spare time, Chris likes to write comedy.  Always egregious, and more than a bit irreverent, this is a hobby that's started to move on from the hobby phase, to the more professional phase.

The Ilumni Men's Chorale

In 2009, Chris started the Illumni Men's Chorale, and has been serving as its Artistic Director and Conductor ever since.  Chris also sings Counter Tenor Alto and Tenor with the group when guest conductors are engaged.

Illumni is made up of some of the area's finest professional musicians and some serious choral hobbyist.  Their premier "Lux Spiritu" holiday concerts were well attended, and have lead to the recording of their first CD.  Illumni is available for studio and soundtrack work.
